These units are used when the tubing (usually steel, stainless and sometimes aluminum) comes bulk wound resembling a skein of yarn rather than the line on a fishing reel and we strongly recommend decoiling in the horizontal fashion.

Horizontal Payoff Unit - Unpowered
This unit is to payoff tubing in the horizontal fashion and will include a welded base with sheet metal basket that will hold a bulk coil of tubing no more than 48” outside diameter with the an adjustable ID of no greater than 24″. A brake system consisting of a valve/regulator, brake caliper and disc is activated when the valve receives a signal from the tube cutter to stop the basket from turning when a cut is being made. Once the cut has been made, a signal must be sent to the valve to turn off the brake to allow the basket to begin turning. This unit has a maximum tube coil capacity of 4,000#.

Horizontal Payoff Unit - Powered
This unit is used in conjunction with our Roll Feed unit to pay tubing off at a high rate of speed. This unit is to payoff tubing in the horizontal fashion and will include a welded base with sheet metal basket that will hold a bulk coil of tubing with an outside diameter between 24 and 48″ and an adjustable ID. It also has an ring over the basket to prevent tubing coming out of the basket. A hydraulic brake system consisting of a hydraulic unit, valve/regulator, brake caliper and disc is activated when the valve receives a signal from the tube cutter to stop the basket from turning when a cut is being made. Once the cut has been made, a signal must be sent to the valve to turn off the brake to allow the basket to begin turning. This unit has a maximum tube coil capacity of 4,000#.
