All of the J&B rotary cut-off machines clamp the tubing prior to being cut so that the cutters can rotate around the tube in a perfect circle while the cutter(s) penetrate the wall of the tube to a predetermined depth and the back up roll(s) support the outside of the tube.
Once the tube has been cut off, if the diameter and wall thickness are not to large, the tube is pulled apart to leave a burr free ID, only then is the tube unclamped so that either the next length can be fed or the operator can load another piece to be cut.
